Malcharková, Veronika ; Kozubíková, Ivana (referee) ; Matějka, Libor (advisor)
The subject of my diploma thesis is the design of a home for the elderly, a home with a special regime in the form of project documentation for the construction. The house is designed as stand-alone and wheelchair accessible. The building is partly basement, with four above-ground floors. On the first floor there are social and operational spaces of the home for seniors and there is also commercial use. The other above-ground floors include individual client rooms and operational background. The construction system of the whole building is a transverse wall. The building is based on concrete foundation. The external wall is made of clay block and the floor structure is made of cast-in-place reinforced slab. Basement loadbearing masonry is monolithic reinforced concrete. The staircase is a monolithic reinforced concrete and a lift is in the mirror of the staircase. The object is roofed with warm flat roof. Other part of this thesis is an assessment of building physics and fire safety requirements.

The use of coordinated rehabilitation in a home with special regime
RATHOVÁ, Lucie
The aim of this diploma thesis is to identify options of how to use the systém of coordinated rehabilitation in a home with a special regime. To obtain information I used qualitative research methodology. Semi-standardized interviews served as the research tool. These interviews were carried out with 10 employees of a home with a special regime run by the City Institute of Social Services in Strakonice. The thesis is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part of the diploma thesis focuses on coordinated rehabilitation as a whole, further, it discusses the individual parts of coordinated rehabilitation. Other chapters describe the most frequent client diagnoses within the Home with a special regime, and finally the standards of social service quality are mentioned. The main research question: What are the options of using coordinated rehabilitation in a home with a special regime? Partial research question: Are employees informed about the options of coordinated rehabilitation? For the purposes of the interview I used questions focused on general identification data, questions focusing on the importance of coordinated rehabilitation, multidisciplinary team. Further, I asked about the individual components of coordinated rehabilitation, and finally, how individual planning is carried out. The result of this diploma thesis is a finding that individual components of coordinated rehabilitation are not fully mutually connected. It would be useful to provide employees with suitable courses to complete their missing knowledge. This diploma thesis might serve as a tool for improving care in the Home with a special regime, it might contribute to the Home with a special regime´s employer awareness of coordnated rehabilitiation, and connect it with practice.

ŠOURKOVÁ, Kamila
The bachelor thesis deals with the views of family members on the care of the senior, who suffers with Alzheimer's disease. The thesis is divided into the theoretical and empirical part. The theoretical part of the bachelor thesis deals with concepts related to the subject of bachelor thesis. The first chapter focuses on age and types of dementia. The second chapter describes Alzheimer's disease. In the third chapter there are a characteristic of home care provided by family members and several essential advice for carers. The fourth chapter focuses on care in a special home, caregivers, and activities that can take place in the home. The aim of this work was to compare the views of selected family members on various types of senior care with Alzheimer's disease. The aim of the thesis is to answer the identified research questions. The first research question focuses on which of Alzheimer's manifestations are most complicated for family members. The second research question examines how the views of family members differ on care when a senior is in their home care or in special-purpose homes. In the empirical part of the bachelor thesis is used the method of qualitative research in the form of questioning in a semi-structured interview. The research group consists of 8 respondents caring for their family member with Alzheimer's dementia. Results are analyzed using open encoding. Research shows that the views of family members are not very different. Caregivers agree that they want to get the best care for their family member, whether in the home or in a home with a special regime. As far as prospects for the future are concerned, only minor differences can be found in the respondents' opinions. The answers to the first research question are almost identical. Respondents report that the most complicated manifestations of illness include non-recognition, loss of memory, disorientation and aggression.
